Since things seem to be rather slow out there it might be good to start getting some discussion going.
1) Who are the best teams in each region? 2) Will Glenvar repeat as State Champs if not who will win? 3) What team will be the biggest suprise? Disappointement 4) What wrestler will be the biggest suprise? 5) Which wrestler will have the toughest time repeating their state championship. Easiest?
I start the answers: 1) A--Mathews, B--Strasburg, C--Glenvar, D-- Castlewood
2) Glenvar will win in a close one (119-160) has no bad wrestlers and will score lots of points. Strasburg 2nd
3) Biggest team suprise--probably Radford Biggest disappointment--Castlewood/Matthews, will come out of their regions with a lot of qualifiers but will be luck to challenge for top 10 spot.
4) Biggest suprise for individual. (I don't think it is a suprise) but Korey Flint from Parry McCluer who returns and should be a favorite at his weight class although he did not finish the season last year.
5) Wrestler with the toughest time repeating: Ryan Phillips (Castlewood) may not get out of his region as champ with Chase Owens of Virginia High. Easiest, Mowles (Glenvar), McGillvary (MP) if he is still there

I think this should be an exciting season. I think Region C is going to be a very competitive region. Radford will definitely put on a good show. Glenvar should return with a very strong team. Floyd has a full line-up for the first time in the history of the school. Along with the additional schools from previous Region D, Region C should grab a large majority of the points at states.
How is Korey Flint coming back? Wasn't he a senior last year?
